Sweetwater’s Annual Rattlesnake Roundup is Coming Up

Sweetwater is home to the World's Largest Rattlesnake Roundup. 2017 will be their 59th Annual Roundup and they know how to show everyone a good time!...

Kyley Sawyers, a long time member of the Sweetwater Jaycees made the short drive to San Angelo to visit with me on the Kickin' Wake-Up Call yesterday.

Kyley has been handling snakes  at the Roundup for over 25 years and filled us in on the festivities to come this year.

The Rattlesnake roundup is held Thursday - Sunday, March 9th - 12th at the Nolan County Coliseum in Sweetwater.

There are a lot of activities and events including a Parade, a flea market with over 300 booths, a big BBQ Cookoff, rattlesnake demonstrations, a gun, knife & coin show, guided hunts, your chance to taste rattlesnake, and so much more.

Enjoy live music and dancing both Friday & Saturday nights in the Jaycee Barn! The rock band 'Three Shades of Blue' will play Friday night, and Saturday...'Mike And The Moonpies' will open for 'Bleu Edmondson'!
