It's true. I am a long time fan-girl of the Texas-Red Dirt Music scene. As such I can personally say how much I LOVE and appreciate when artists let us in to their lives and careers through their social media accounts. As opposed to just Tweeting to remind us when and where they can buy their merch and tickets.

Hard to believe it was seven years ago, May 2014, when Cody Johnson gave thousands of Texas Rangers fans' goose bumps goose bumps.

Chilifest is always a huge annual concert festival sponsored by A&M Fraternities & Sororities held outside of College Station in a little community called Snook. This event always attracts forty thousand plus concert goers annually and always with an outstanding lineup of bands.

Not sure if it's much of an April Fool's prank, technically speaking, but it's damn funny. This afternoon Cory Morrow shared Josh Abbott's phone number on Facebook, encouraging fans to "blow his phone up today."

To wrap up 2014, two of Texas' most prolific singers, Pat Green and Lyle Lovett sat on top of the Texas chart with Girls from Texas, for four consecutive weeks. Well, now it's 2015, and Josh Abbott Band, Kyle Park and Aaron Watson are all looking to start off the new year with a new No. 1 song. Who lands it? Let’s find out.

Wade Bowen is all set to host his 16th annual "Wade Bowen Classic" celebrity golf tournament. Since it's inception, Bowen and The Bowen Family Foundation, have raised close to half a million dollars for various local organizations.
