At approximately 8:40 a.m. Thursday morning, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the area of First Baptist Church in the unit block of E. Harris Avenue to assist DPS Troopers Alderete and McCary in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle.

Thursday, San Angelo Police arrested Edward Virgen, 46, during a suspicious vehicle investigation in the unit block of E. 12th Street.

At approximately 7:21 p.m. on January 25, 2017, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the area of Harris and Pecos for the report of a possible vehicle fire.

In the Spring of 2016, the San Angelo Police Department warned citizens that guns were being stolen from vehicles and ending up in the wrong hands.

Just before 11:00 a.m. this morning, David Wagner with KLST/KSAN contacted the San Angelo Police Department’s Public Information Officer, Tracy Gonzalez, to report they had received a phone call from a man who claimed he was about to have a stand-off with police near 21st and Bradford and that the man further advised to get their cameras ready.

At approximately 9:15 Wednesday morning, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the 2100 East 37th Street for the report of a man asleep behind the wheel.

San Angelo Police are investigating a Burglary that occurred at the San Angelo Foster Communications Coliseum, 50 E. 43rd Street.

On January 3, 2017, the San Angelo Police Department received a report of a sexual assault involving a 5-year-old female.
