The Voice season 11 kicked off yesterday, Sept. 19th with two new judges, several incredibly talented singers and an argument between Blake Shelton and Adam Levine over one of the performers.

Porter, Texas singer Sundance Head performed a fantastic rendition of Otis Redding’s “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long.”

Head's performance was so stunning that he received two chair turns and a standing ovation. Head chose Shelton over Levine as his coach.

Head may look familiar to you and there is a good reason for that. He made it into the top 16 on American Idol‘s sixth season in 2007.

Sundance comes from a musical upbringing. His father, Roy Head, was a country rock singer whose song, “Treat Her Right,” hit number 2 on the US Billboard charts in 1962.

It will be very interesting to see what else Sundance will have to offer this season on The Voice!

Take a moment to listen to Sundance Head in the above YouTube video as he auditions for 'The Voice'.
