Using statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the National Motorists Association and Mothers Against Drunk Driving, among others, Louisiana managed to finish in the Top 5 for three different categories: Failure to Obey, Ticketing Rate and Careless Driving.

South Carolina, Mississippi, Texas and Alabama rounded out the Top 5 list of the worst drivers in the U.S.

On the flip side, Vermont achieved the distinction of having the nation's best drivers, followed by Utah, New Hampshire, Minnesota and Oregon.
