Holy Cow! I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist.

A cow in De Kalb, a small town in Northeast Texas, managed to do something quite remarkable. In fact, it was so remarkable that with just a little while, she was trending on Facebook. She ended up birthing four live calves on March 16th. Yep, you read that right. Four. Three bull calves and one heifer, we're in West Texas, so we've got to use the right terminology. The owners granddaughter has already named them, Eeny, Meeny, Miny, and Moo, respectively.

Veterinarians are busy gathering DNA to verify that all four did come from the same mother, as this is such a rare occurrence. According to the local veterinarian told NBCDFW,

the odds of four live births from one cow are 1 in 11.2 million...In the interest of science and the animal world, it's one of those things that need to be verified beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Because this is so rare, vets are running DNA tests to see if all calves are from the same mother, and not a case of mistaken identity. Such a thing would want to be proven, rather than finding out later that it was a hoax.  Unfortunately the mama cow isn't able to feed all the calves, so the neighbors have stepped up to help.
