Texas Music: Who is the Biggest Influence?

Do you ever sit back and think how such a small grass roots-themed style music can take off and become such a large industry in such a short time?

One of my favorite things to do is to reflect on the music scene and talk with others that are just as madly in love with it as I am. Talking especially about how the scene has grown and where it’s headed. Its hard for me to believe that I have only been involved professionally with the business for 5 years now and in those 5 years many changes that have happened.

Now, before I became professionally involved in the scene I was still a big fan. I went to concerts when and wherever I could catch them, buying up the Hastings lot of 8 Texas Music CD's that were on their shelves at that time. But, as I revisit these thoughts I think about how the scene has grown and expanded and changed so much that I sit back and wander where does the influence for this scene come from and who has the biggest impacts on it?

I know that we all have heard the artist during interviews list off those people that have influenced them in their music and styles, but seriously who is the biggest influence in the scene?

Let me know what you think there is no right or wrong answer to this question and it can even be a multiple answer to the question. I just want you to tell me who you think it is!
