The Battle Of The Year – Battle Of The Bands

Curing Cancer Music Fest is right around the corner on October 13th and 14th.  If you're a part of a local band and want a chance to play along side some of the hottest acts in Texas/Red Dirt Music here is your chance.

The line up for the Curing Cancer Music Fest so far looks very solid, for an aspiring young musician being able to join such artist on stage looks great on a musical resume.  Just to name a few of these artists we have Larry Joe Taylor, Mike McClure, Mark McKinney, Taylor Hodak Band, Matt Kimbrow and many more.  Registration for the finals on August 23rd continues through Friday, August 10th.   With a simple entry fee of only $15, it is well worth it.  There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  1st place prize is a full band opening slot for Saturday's show, 2nd place prize is the opening slot for Friday's acoustic show and 3rd place prize will be two VIP passes for Friday and Saturday at Curing Cancer Music Fest.  You can't beat that with a stick.  Pick up your entry form at Blaine's Pub, the TownSquare Media offices at 1301 South Abe or call Elizabeth Cook at 325-718-9678.  Entry deadline is Friday August 10th.
