The ‘Buck Wild Spring Gathering’ is Saturday

The Spur Arena at the Fairgrounds is going come alive this Saturday, April 11th with activities all day long starting at 7:30 am. It's time for the 7th Annual 'Buck Wild Spring Gathering' and everyone is invited. 

I visited with Jay Johnson, Pastor of the San Angelo Cowboy Church this morning on the 'Kickin' Wake-Up Call' and we talked about the all day celebration. There is something for everyone to enjoy. Books are open now to enter the various competitions like the 4-D Barrel Race, Mutton Bustin', Shetlands, Jr. Ranch Broncs, and Open bulls. There is even $1,000 added money to sweeten the pot. Now is the time to get registered before some of the events fill up. If an event is not yet full you can register Saturday Morning starting at 7:30.

There is a Chuckwagon Supper for just $8 starting at 5 pm with Chicken Fried Steak and all the trimmings, right down to cobbler pie. By the way, their Chuckwagon Supper always sells out so get there early. The Chuckwagon Supper will be followed by a live auction.

Then be ready for live music with the Tone Pirates, one of our local favorites in concert at 6 pm.
