Whatever happened to the Ford Ranger which was a very popular pickup. Well, it has continued to be sold almost everywhere else in the world except the United States, but it will be returning in 2019.

After the large stateside success of the Toyota Tacoma, Ford thinks it’s prime time to reintroduce the Ranger into the American market.

According to Car and Driver, the Ranger was a hot truck to have back in 1999, when Ford sold approximately 350,000 of them in just one year. In 2015, only 180,000 Tacomas were sold, so the Ranger has a real possibility to come back and regain its spot as the premiere mid-sized pick-up.

The Ranger’s base price is said to start below the $25,000 mark and will probably be available in both a 3.2-liter diesel engine, as well as a gas V-6.
