Lucinda Williams has been a mainstay on the Americana Music Scene for a long time. Starting her recording career in 1978, you hear a distinct style that is all her own. She was born in Lake Charles, La. and you can hear influences that range from the Delta to Americana, Folk, Rock, Blues, and Country all blended together to make her sound so unique.

Lucinda has won numerous Grammys as well as many other awards throughout her career.

She formed her own record label called Highway 20 Records in 2014 and released her latest album called 'Down Where The Spirit Meets The Bone'.

She is now touring with a heavy schedule of dates that are about to take her up the East Coast thru North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, Chicago, Washington D.C., New York, and on up into Canada. Then she will be headed down under for a tour in Australia.

It's Throwback Thursday, so lets reach back and play one of Lucinda's biggest songs off of her 'Car Wheels On a Gravel Road' Album which was released in 1998. This is one of her songs that we play on Kickin' Country 103.1 and this live performance of the song was recorded on 'Austin City Limits' in 2012. It's called 'Still I Long For Your Kiss'. Check it out in the above video.
