After the resignation of Tommy Tuberville the Texas Tech Red Raiders have concluded their search for a new head coach for the 2013-2014 season.

Returning to his college roots Kliff Kingsbury is headed back to Texas Tech taking the head coaching position for the Red Raiders. Kingsbury is a former Texas Tech quarterback where he threw for 95 touchdowns between 1998 and 2002. More recently you might have seen Kingsbury's name attached to the coaching position that took Texas A&M Heisman Trophy Winner Johnny Manziel.

Needless to say as a Texas Tech Red Raider fan and supporter as well as a member of the Texas Tech school system I can honestly say that not many of the Raider Nation were ever real excitted that Tuberville was head coach nor did we ever really warm up to him. I am hoping that with the Kingsbury as head coach now we will see the Raider Nation rise back to the top of the Big 12 Conference.
