After a record-breaking Wade Bowen Classic golf outing and concert in 2013, Wade and his friends had lofty goals for the 2014 event. And it paid off with another record haul!

With a crowd of over 4,000 on hand, country stars like Pat Green, Mark Chesnutt and Kevin Fowler highlighted the entertainment  for the 2-day charity event in Waco, Texas, on June 1st and 2nd. Now in its 16th year, the 2014 WBC brought in an all-time high of over $250,000. Funds raised go toward the Wade Bowen Foundation, which has helped a variety of different organizations in need over the years. This will be the second year the has earmarked the funds raised for the nearby community of West, Texas as they continue to rebuilt after a devastating explosion rocked the rural town.

A year ago, the Classic far exceeded previous years' fundraising efforts. The 2013 WBC came close, but didn't quite reach the $250,000 mark.

Wade was hardly able to contain himself after this year's event.

“What an amazing year! I still cannot believe how great everything went and the turnout we had. Waco and its surrounding communities have really jumped on board and supported this event like I never imagined. The jam was probably the most fun I've ever had on stage with some of my best friends! I truly cannot wait until next year to do it all over again!"

The concert featured an all-star Texas country lineup of Bowen, Fowler, Green and Chesnutt, as well as Randy Rogers, Stoney LaRue, Whiskey Myers, William Clark Green, Cody Canada & The Departed, Micky and the Motorcars, Josh Grider, Adam Hood and Chris King.

All totaled, the Wade Bowen Foundation is closing in on raising $1 million for charity.
