West Texas Walk of Fame Announces New Inductees

A ceremony will be held next month for the latest inductees into the West Texas Walk of Fame.

The Walk of Fame will honor Ponty Bone, Terry Cook, The Flatlanders and Sonny West. An induction ceremony will take place on September 15th at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Theater starting at 6pm. Each of this year's inductees will have their names engraved on plaques behind the Buddy Holly statue that stands in Lubbock's Buddy and Maria Elena Holly Plaza. Nearly 72 musicians, writers and artists from West Texas have been inducted into the Walk of Fame over the past 37 years.
