Thanksgiving is this Thursday, Nov. 24th and many of you have already stocked up. If so, be aware that Heinz has issued a national voluntary recall of its Heinz HomeStyle Bistro Au Jus Gravy over mislabeling concerns.

The company says that 500 cases of the product were incorrectly labeled as Heinz Pork Gravy. Those labels don't mention that the product contains both milk and soy which could affect those with food allergies or have sensitivity to either or both ingredients.

The FDA says that no consumers have been sickened by the product. If you need to check your purchase, recalled jars are labeled with UPC 013000798907. The 12 oz. jars were distributed to retailers across the United States.

Heinz said in a statement...'We deeply regret this situation and apologize to any consumers we have disappointed.'

If you have purchased one of these jars, you can contact the company for a full refund by calling 866-572-3808 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET.

The recall only effects pork gravy in the 12 oz. size. The recall comes at an especially inconvenient time but consumers should keep in mind that only a small portion of the distributed products are effected by the recall.
