Representatives of more than 50 school districts and education employers in Texas, New Mexico and California will meet with prospective teachers during Angelo State University’s annual Teacher Job Fair this Wednesday, March 19, in the Junell Center/Stephens Arena, 2235 S. Jackson St.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon in the Stephens Arena.  It is open to ASU students who will graduate in May with teacher certification, as well as any current certified teachers seeking employment or considering relocation.

Scheduled to attend are representatives from Texas school districts in San Angelo, Amarillo, Andrews, Ballinger, Big Spring, Brownfield, Carrollton-Farmers Branch, Cherokee, Christoval, Coahoma, Colorado City, Crockett County, Crowley, Crystal City, Dallas, Del Rio, Dumas, Ector County, Fort Stockton, Fort Worth, Grape Creek, Kermit, Killeen, Lamesa, Luling, McCamey, Mesquite, Midland, Monahans, Reagan County, Pecos-Barstow-Toyah, Plainview, Richardson, San Saba, Schleicher County, Seminole, Sonora, Taylor, Victoria and Winters.

ASU’s College of Education, the Region 9 and Region 20 Education Service Centers, Texas Job Network, Texas School for the Blind and Texas Teachers–Alternative Certification will also have representatives at the job fair, as well as school districts in Carlsbad and Hobbs, N.M., and Bakersfield, Calif.
