Austin Allsup Requesting Prayers for Dad in ICU
Guitarist Tommy Allsup who is the father of recent The Voice contestant Austin Allsup is in intensive care and the Allsup family is asking for your prayers.
Tommy Allsup, an Oklahoma native, played for Buddy Holly's band and is also known for giving up his seat on the ill fated plane that crashed and killed Holly, J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson and Ritchie Valens in 1959. Allsup lost a coin toss for a seat on the plane to Valens.
