So what are the best venues for Texas Music here in the Concho Valley. We've put together a list for you right here.

1. Midnight Rodeo San Angelo

When it comes to booking the biggest acts in San Angelo, nobody beats Midnight Rodeo. Whether it's Kevin Fowler, Aaron Watson, the Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen, the Josh Abbott Band, the Casey Donahew Band, they all call Midnight Rodeo home. Midnight Rodeo was a skating rink back in the day and you can still wander around where the rink was. Plus they put a bar in the middle of the former rink.

2. The Little River Club

The Little River Club in San Angelo is no stranger to bringing big acts to the area. Just this last week, Steve Helms played a special concert to a huge crowd at the venue. The Little River Club has brought crowd pleaser John Chrisopher Way to town many times and they feature a lot of the finest local band that San Angelo has to offer on their stage. Plus they cater to a crowd that is young and old. The Little River Club is sure to bring you a good time.

3. Green Apple Art Center

Nestled right next to downtown in the little town of Eden, the Green Apple Art Center is a unique indoor/outdoor venue. The likes of Bruce Robison & Kelly Willis, Radney Foster, Drew Kennedy, John Fullbright and more have graced the stage. The venue offers complimentary food before each concert during the spring/summer series. The setting is cool inside too with plenty of shade. Make sure you check out Green River Ordinance this Friday at the Green Apple Art Center.

4. The House of FiFi Dubois

One of downtown San Angelo's finest bars, the House of FiFi Dubois has seen many Texas and Red Dirt artists come through its doors. From the Statesboro Revue to Micky & the Motorcars to Radney Foster (who just happens to be a former high school classmate of one of the bar's owners). The retro bar has an enormous stage for acts and you can even rent an Air-stream trailer located in the bar. Check it out the next time you're downtown.

5. Fiddlestrings

Now talk about unique, Fiddlestrings is. The bar in San Angelo has one of the best patios in the Concho Valley. It's the only bar in town where you can watch a show while sitting in a pool. That's right, the stage is located just above the pool and there have been times when bands have jumped in the pool after their set, so be careful. Tuesday nights are big in the spring and summer with the 'Fiddle String Thing'. Check it out and cannonball!
