For the third straight year Cody Johnson played the largest stage in Texas, and for the second straight on that impressive star shaped stage. On Friday night (March 15) the Texas native drew a massive crowd, 73,000+ to Houston's NRG Stadium for RODEOHOUSTON.

How does the Cody Johnson attendance stack up to mainstream acts this year? Luke Bryan brought in 67,115, Tim McGraw drew 66,491, Zac Brown Band drew 69,570, Chris Stapleton brought out 72,011. Until George Strait's record setting show to close out the season, Kane Brown was the only country act to bring out more than Cody Johnson with an impressive crowd of 75,122. Shout out to Saving Country Music for assembling those numbers for us.

Back in January, Cody Johnson's new album Ain't Nothin' To It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. The Texas native moved 34,500 total units, including 23,000 copies in pure album sales, on top of 12 million songs streams.

Additionally, this year Johnson was asked to do the official Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and it's country fire. The new song, "Welcome to the Show," was used in promotion leading up to and through out the rodeo.
