Cody Johnson played the Big stage last night at Rodeo Houston (Wed. 3/8/17) to an estimated 60,000 Plus crowd in attendance at NRG Stadium!

Cody was actually a last minute fill in for a Nashville band called Old Dominion who had a death in a band member's family and had to cancel.

Back in 1983, George Strait filled in for Eddie Rabbitt who had the flu. We know that was a major push for George’s career. I'm sure last night's performance by Cody will help his career, which is already on fire, just that much more!

As George Strait has been known to do, after the show...Cody Johnson left the stage and rode off on horseback. Cody knows horses quite well having once been a horseback guard at Huntsville State Prison.

Johnson is currently on tour in support of his album, 'Gotta Be Me'.

The above video captures a small part of Cody Johnson's very big show last night at the Houston Rodeo. Check it out.
