HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE EVENT SAT, MAY 22ND

Keep San Angelo Beautiful will host its free Household Hazardous Waste event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 22ND at the San Angelo Coliseum. Document shredding up to five boxes per vehicle will be available. They will also be accepting many household items including: batteries, tires, electronics, aerosol cans, solvents and much more. Decoty Coffee, Kona Ice and other food vendors will be on-site. To find out what will and will not be accepted, call 325-486-3771. This event is only open to Tom Green County residents. Please bring a valid water or electric bill to confirm your residence.

12TH ANNUAL SIMPLY TEXAS BLUES FESTIVAL SAT, MAY 22ND

Don’t miss the 12th annual Simply Texas Blues Festival on Sat, May 22nd from 11 am – 11 pm at the Riverstage. This annual blues competition features non-stop live music throughout the day and night! DOWNTOWN MOVIE NIGHT RETURNS MAY 28TH - AUG 27TH

Downtown Movie Night returns to San Angelo and great movies will be shown from May 28 to Aug. 27 each Friday beginning at 'dusk'... around 9-9:15 p.m. Enjoy the shows in the parking lot at 17 E. Twohig between the Cactus Hotel and Miss Hattie's with a lineup that includes Toy Story 4, Frozen 2, The Lion King, Wonder Woman and more. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Concessions will be available. The last Friday of each month is Family Friday, and two bicycles will be given away.

Jesus Rocks The River is a free family-friendly event at the San Angelo River Stage on Sat, May 29th from 12 noon - 10 pm. There will be live music all day, a free bounce house, free face painting, free food, free T-Shirts, a silent auction, ministry booths, a youth group challenge and so much more! ELKS LODGE GIVES FREE BURGERS SAT, MAY 29TH

The San Angelo Elks Lodge # 1880 will hold a free Hamburger lunch for Military Veterans and First Responders on Sat, May 29th. The lunch will be served at 2121 S. Chadbourne from 11 am-2 pm in a drive through fashion. Donations will be taken for the families of Samuel Leonard and Sgt. Stephen Jones, killed in the line of duty earlier this month.

YOUTH FISHING DERBY SAT, JUNE 5TH

The City of San Angelo Recreation Division & the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department present the annual Youth Fishing Derby on Sat, June 5th. Registration starts at 7 a.m. at the Celebration Bridge, 16 E. Ave. A along the Concho River. Participants must bring their own poles and bait. The fishing derby is open to ages 1-6, 7-12 & 13-17. Trophies for the largest fish & most fish caught will be awarded. For more information, contact the Recreation Division at 657-4450.

FIRST SATURDAY AT THE CHICKEN FARM SAT, JUNE 5TH

48TH ANNUAL RUN IN THE SUN SAT, JUNE 5TH

The 48th annual Run in the Sun is a running road race in San Angelo, consisting of a 1 Mile and 8K race with an 8 am start time on the Riverwalk behind the SoCo Taphouse. It is the RRCA Texas State 8K Championship. Either race may be run or walked & all abilities are welcome! The race will start and finish on the river trail off of E Concho Ave and run down along the Concho River walk in historic San Angelo.

EL BURRO LOCO SUMMER FIESTA SAT, JUNE 5TH

Bring the family our for the El Burro Loco Summer Fiesta on Sat, June 5th at 2810 North Chadbourne! Shop with over 15 vendors starting at 3 pm. Bring the family out and have some fun.
