Quintin Dawson McCleery, age 33, was taken into custody by members of the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division last Friday afternoon after a brief chase in Southwest San Angelo.

McCleery was wanted on an array of Arrest Warrants out of Concho County.

Around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016, Detectives with the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division began surveilling McCleery after they received information about his whereabouts.  Detectives followed McCleery, who was driving a red Ford Mustang, from the Sitel Corporation parking lot to the Carriage parking lot in the 3000 block of Knickerbocker where they observed McCleery exit the car, squat down by the car’s rear tire, and then enter the store’s backdoor.  Soon after, McCleery exited the store’s front door and ran once he observed the Detectives.  The pursuing Detectives identified themselves several times but McCleery refused to stop.

The pursuing Detectives caught McCleery and took him into custody after he briefly resisted.  McCleery was transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident where he was booked on the following warrants; Parole Violation (Arson), Failure to Appear, Assault Family/Household Member Impeding Breath/Circulation, Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence, Assault Causes Bodily Injury, and two city warrants.
