If you've ever wanted to hull up in a bar and hibernate, what better place to do it than inside of an actual cave?

Built under a bluff in middle-of-nowhere Alabama, the Rattlesnake Saloon is the perfect place to not be found. Above the bluff post-rainstorm water pours down ove the entrance of the bar, creating the feeling of being in a pub under a waterfall.

Snake skins, mounted animals heads and strange pictures cover the cave's walls; a mounted rattlesnake is poised frozen in the moment before it attacks a rabbit, fangs exposed. If you're lucky, you'll be there while a live band plays, but either way, the atmosphere is strange and awesome.

Rattlesnake is a part of the Seven Springs Lodge Resort, but the bar itself is only open Thursday - Saturday; they begin serving at 5pm. If resorts aren't your style, the area hosts a campsite and accommodates RVs, but the coolest place to stay by fair are the grain silos, which have been converted into bunkhouses. The silos offer furnished bedrooms and living rooms, and sit right next to a swimming pool. If you brought your horse for some reason, they have a stable for that, and plenty of riding and hiking trails.
