I've been trying to figure out what to do for April Fool's Day and who I could play the prank on.  Then it all came to me.

Not only did many of you probably change the station but also send me some angry messages about my April Fool's prank.  So back in the day a fellow by the name of Bob Dylan started writing a little tune titled Wagon Wheel.  The song ended up being finished by a member of the Old Crow Medicine Show and behold the tune we all know and love.  There has always been feeble attempts by Nashville to cover great tunes and typically they butcher the song.  Enter Darius Rucker and the 'ruined' version of Wagon Wheel.  Okay, Darius has a good voice and he did co-write Radney Foster's Angel Flight but many feel he shouldn't have covered Wagon Wheel.  Darius did co-write ten of the twelve tracks on his latest 'country' album.  Now I'm getting on a tangent.  Back to the matter at hand, I pranked you pretty good I think.  While beginning the Afternoon Drive today I played the Rucker version.  I said it was a new song to out playlist and it was my new favorite song but, I couldn't make it past the thirty second mark of the song.  That's about the time I came back on air and said I was kidding and fired off the Old Crow Medicine Show version.
