Discover Abilene's Scenic Walking Trails This Fall
As the Texas heat finally gives way to more comfortable fall weather, with temperatures settling between 75 and 85 degrees, it's the perfect time to rediscover some scenic walking and or hiking trails. One of the most talked-about trails this season is the Cedar Creek Waterway Trail, located in Abilene near the new animal shelter off of East South 11th Street.

The city of Abilene recently did some major improvements, making the trail safer and even more enjoyable. If you' walk this trail, you just might see some deer roaming on the trail as well, and all this is within the city limits of Abilene. I was really blown away when I came across the deer roaming the trail, and the deer weren't even spooked at my presence. I even took the photo below. Wow!
