The Dyess We Care Team Launches 2025 With a Carwash in Abilene
When you see Airmen washing cars in the Texas heat, it’s more than just soap and water; it’s a mission of the heart. The Dyess We Care Team is gearing up for their first major fundraiser of the year "Operation Warm Heart," the All-American Carwash, is happening Saturday, July 12th, from 11 am-4 pm at Statesman Coffee Company in the Hobby Lobby parking lot on South 14th street.
Raising Funds for Emergency Help Through Warm Heart
At the core of this fundraiser is Warm Heart, a program built to provide emergency assistance for active-duty Airmen. Whether it's helping someone fly home during a family crisis, paying a utility bill, or making sure food is on the table, Warm Heart steps in when it matters most.
This isn’t your average carwash. Donations are doubled and even tripled thanks to generous local sponsors like Star Dealership and APEX Realtors, both of whom are matching community donations.

The Power of Community, One Car at a Time
The Dyess We Care Team is made up of active-duty Airmen and women who go above and beyond their service, volunteering their time on weekends to build wheelchair ramps for disabled veterans, assist at local events, and quietly support struggling military families. These car washes not only raise money but also build bridges between the base and the Big Country community.
You Can Be a Part of It
Swing by Statesman Coffee on Saturday, July 12, grab a cup of joe, and get your car cleaned for a cause that truly matters. Every dollar counts, and every donation goes further, thanks to matching partners. Plus, you might even get to meet a few of the incredible Airmen who are changing lives one good deed at a time.
