Texas Leads U.S. in Job Growth for 34th Month In a Row

It's a well-known fact that in Texas we tend to work harder and better. It's not hard to prove. Just look around. It's been raining and we've had cold weather, yet crews are still out fixing our roads and highways. I'll say it again, "Texans are not afraid to work!"

So I was not surprised when the numbers came in, and Governor Greg Abbott shared them. I think it's time to celebrate that Texas leads all 50 states as the primary state for job creation from January 1 to December 31, 2023. Looking at the employment data numbers, the Bureau of Labor Statistics says Texas far outnumbers all other states.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics' employment data shows that in the Lone Star State  369,600 non-farm jobs were created for the entire year of 2023. Governor Abbott reported that we had the most job creation in the nation.

Texas continues to break record after record in employment numbers. The fact remains that more Texans are working today than 46 states have residents, according to Governor Abbott's numbers from his recent press release.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed that Texas is by far outpacing the nation as a whole in the annual job rate growth. December 2023 marked 34 months continuous of uninterrupted job growth rate in Texas.
