(KNUE-FM) Everyone in Texas has felt the pinch at the grocery store as prices continue to rise. Although, that isn’t the only complaint that Texans might have soon as one very popular beverage here in the Lone Star State might become ‘temporarily unavailable’.

I was shocked when I read the reports from My San Antonio (MySA), regarding Topo Chico Mineral Water not being readily available for customers in the coming months. That means many people are going to have to find a favorite new beverage if their local stores start running low on supply.

Why Topo Chico May Be Hard to Find

The parent company for Topo Chico is Coca-Cola and they confirmed that the product will be “temporarily unavailable” in the United States because they need to upgrade their facility at the water source and production facilities in Mexico.

Production Issues in Mexico

Production of the soft drinks has slowed over the past two months due to problems with the wells in Monterrey, Mexico.

Social media reactions range from frustration to humor about the temporary pause in production.

When Will Topo Chico Return to Normal?

Fans will be excited to hear that the production slowdown will only affect the original mineral water, no other drink products. Production is expected to increase once upgrades are completed in Mexico, currently that is expected to be finished in the fall of 2026.

If you love Topo Chico mineral water, now might be the best time to stock up.
