A hilarious Facebook post from the Jacksonville, TX Police Department that had us chuckling today.
The cops were asking for the public's help in identifying a burglary suspect who had on some pretty "recognizable" attire and they decided to get quickly kill the social media peanut gallery before they had a chance to chime in.
The subject is a suspect in a Burglary of a Building where numerous tools were stolen.
According to the post, Jacksonville Police is seeking assistance with the identification of the individual in the post who allegedly stole tools from a building in the city.
Now of course, if you're a certain age, that the shirt the wanted man is wearing looks like a well known character we used to see on TV all the time. So before the 'jokesters' on social media could say it, JPD just went ahead and ruled out "The Hamburglar" as a suspect.
The Hamburglar, a mischievous character from McDonald's advertisements, has been a staple of pop culture since the 1970s.
With his signature black-and-white striped outfit and penchant for stealing hamburgers, he's become an iconic figure synonymous with the fast-food chain.
