As big as the Superbowl is for football fans worldwide, the commercials that air within the big game come in a close second. Skittles candy is looking to change things up this year.
A New Approach to the Big Game Commercial
Skittles has announced that instead of airing a pre-taped commercial during the Superbowl, it will instead air a live broadcast on the day of the big game with the help of Lord of the Rings actor Elijah Wood. Yes, Frodo will show up at the house of one lucky fan on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
How Can Fans Sign Up?
Football fans who also love Frodo (and Skittles) can sign up online now through January 21 at DeliverTheRainbow.com. The prize includes actor Elijah Wood doing a live Skittles commercial from the winner’s house. Winners will get a full-on production experience that will be livestreamed across Skittles’ social platforms during the game.
The Contest Rules
1.U.S. homeowners 18 and older
2.Must complete a submission form with name, email and address,
3.Must answer a 50-to-250-word prompt without the help of AI, explaining why they should be selected.
4.Entrants must also have an active Gopuff account.
5.Participants must be legal U.S. residents, have a valid government-issued photo ID, and own and live in a single-family home or detached dwelling with a front yard large enough to stage a live performance.
6.Submissions will be judged on creativity, brand spirit, and storytelling, with entries scored on a 100-point scale.
7.A potential winner is expected to be notified on or around Jan. 21 and
