Cowboys CeeDee Lamb Surprises Texas Families For Thanksgiving
It's that time of year again; it's the season of giving. It's also the season where I hear all these beautiful stories that make me cry! Like this one that I just found out involving Texas families and one Dallas Cowboy.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who is the reigning NFC player of the week, partnered up with supermarket chain Tom Thumb and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas and surprised two families with a Thanksgiving shopping spree!
Lamb helped the families get everything they would need for turkey day- Turkey, dressing, pies, rolls, even ice cream!
This isn't the first time that Lamb has been generous to families in Texas; this is actually his third year partnering with Tom Thumb and the nonprofit to help families during the holiday season. Two years ago he gave away grocery story gift cards.
Lamb admits that Thanksgiving is his favorite holiday and tells NBCDFW:
It's always a great pleasure to see other families smiling and for me to play a part in that. And as far as Thanksgiving, it's my favorite holiday personally. You have time to sit, enjoy food with your family, quality time.
Lamb certainly helped these two families enjoy their quality time! Anyone else crying?
No matter how you feel about the Cowboys- you got to admit, it's always great seeing them do good off the field!
This Thanksgiving, the Cowboys will take on the Washington Commanders and Dolly Parton will perform at halftime as part of the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Kickoff, which marks the start of the nonprofit charity's holiday fundraiser.
