New Music This Week On Kickin’ Country
This week there are three new tunes for your listening pleasure. Take a listen and let me know what you think.
This week we welcome John D. Hale Band, Josh Grider and Sam Riggs & The Night People to the roster. Three great songs from great musicians and each very different than the other. John D. Hale Band is currently competeing on the New Music Showdown with the title track from the current album, More Than I Can Handle. It's a real folk/rockish type of song which I liked quite a bit. Well written, great musicianship and a beat that makes ya want to tap your foot or nod your head. Swing by the website and check out all they have to offer.

Second up we have Mr. Josh Grider, a Concho Valley favorite. Last Thursday Josh rocked out The House of FiFi DuBois and played the new one, Summer and Sixteen. The Gettin' There EP produced this gem and another you love so much, Lone Star Highway. The new one is a fun summer time, obviously, tune and will take ya back to the high school days. It's a fun song that is sure to be a favorite and shoot to the top of the charts.

Last but certainly not least we have Sam Riggs & The Night People. When The Lights Go Out from the Lighthouse EP is just cool in all aspects. Lyrically and musically this is a great song and is put together very nicely. I love the pickin' on the acoustic guitar then it escalates quickly with some rockin' electric. Their last song, Six Feet In The Ground, is a completely different style and the new one demonstrates how eclectic they can be. It's a hit, take a listen and leave some feedback.
