Free Gifts and Swag – The Perks of Being a Kickin’ Country DJ

There are pros and cons to working in radio.  I want to point out one of the pro aspects of the job.  Gifts.

Every job has its perks, just varies on the awesomeness of the perks.  Here in the past month I've been receiving many gifts from various musicians and I know what you're thinking, it's not payola.  Many artists have sponsorships and they receive promotional items to take out on radio tour to give to radio staff.  This month so far I've gotten Rebecca Creek Whiskey, Dripping Springs Vodka, Republic Tequila, a flask, Cooper's BBQ and the list goes on.  Thank you to all the artists that are so caring and giving.  I see these gifts as making up for the pranks that some have played or plan on playing.  What's the best perk you've received at your job?
