San Angelo Ranked Prime Area In U.S. To Build A Home

San Angelo, TX has recently been ranked as a prime area in the U.S. to build a lifelong dream home in the "2017 Best Cities to Build a Forever Home" report released by personal finance website, Goodcall.com.

GoodCall reviewed data from 468 cities nationwide and San Angelo, TX was ranked #16 in the U.S. It was Listed in the top 10% for its comparative custom home cost, growing home values, affordability, population, educational values, and low unemployment and crime rates.

Analysts compiled a list of the 'Best Cities in which to Build a Forever Home' using the following criteria. These are cities where building a custom home is affordable, as is the general cost of living. The top cities are generally great places to live, with lower crime and unemployment rates, and where residents tend to be more educated. These cities are growing and saw significant increases in home values as they recovered from the 2009 recession.

Five of the top 10 cities were in Texas, and they all ranked in the top 10% of cities for the low cost of a custom home.
