The City of San Angelo moves water treatment back to chloramine on Monday October 22nd.

On August 27,2012 the City of San Angelo began using a stronger chlorine disinfectant as a normal procedure to ensure waterline cleanliness. The return to a chloramine, a mix of chlorine gas and liquid ammonia may alter the taste of the water for a few weeks but that is normal. They city also cautions customers who have kidney dialysis machines or aquariums to contact their equipment suppliers to ensure they have the proper equipment for the cholramine removal.
