Enjoy the 2019 Brews, Ewes & BBQ Cook-Off Sat, Oct 19th from 10 am - 6 pm at El Paseo De Santa Angela. The festival will consist of a BBQ cook-off featuring brisket, pork ribs, chicken, leg of lamb, beans and a home brew beer competition. There will also be live music from various artists and vendor booths. New this year is also a Kids BBQ cook-off for ages 6-15. Don't miss out on 'Rockin' The Ranch 2019' Sat, Oct 19th presented by The House of Fifi Dubois downtown at 123 South Chadbourne. This all day music event is a fundraiser that benefits The West Texas Boys Ranch. Enjoy great food, dancing and awesome live music. Friday, October 18th, catch the Rockin' the Ranch Kickoff Party with Drew Kennedy and Josh Grider. Then Saturday check out the wonderful lineup of live music starting at 4 pm with: Adam Hood, Tommy Alverson, Clearwater, Zac Wilkerson, Midnight River Choir & The Calamity Janes!!

Cactus Market Days takes place every 3rd Saturday of the month Downtown San Angelo in the parking lot across from the Cactus Hotel. Join in on the shopping and fun this Sat, Oct 19th from 10 am - 5 pm. You'll find numerous Local Art and Craft Vendors, Food Vendors, Handcrafted candles, jewelry, paintings, wood products and many more handcrafted items for sale. For more Information, call 949-6200.

You're invited to take the Fort Concho After Dark Tour for a spine-tingling night tour of Fort Concho on Fri, Oct 25th from 8 - 10 pm. Visit several of the fort’s buildings and listen to their guides recount the stories of people who lived and died at the site. Tickets for the walking tour are available but space is limited. Ballet San Angelo invites you to join them in spending Sat, Oct 19th celebrating the joys of dance from 10 am - 5 pm! Every third Thursday of the month brings you the 'Downtown Stroll' in Historic Downtown San Angelo. You're invited to take the stroll this Thurs, Oct 17th from 5-9 pm and enjoy some of the best art, food, and fun that Downtown San Angelo has to offer. Numerous downtown business stay open late for this special once a month event.

Buffalo Gap is having their Scarecrow Festival with Scarecrows inspired by children's illustrated storybook characters and created by local students on display at the grounds of the Taylor County History Center through October 26th!

Join St. Ambrose 80th Fall Festival in Wall on Sun, Oct 20th from 10:30 am - 6:00 pm. Enjoy Turkey, dressing, and sausage plates sold from 11:00-2:00. Adult plates are $10, children’s plates are $5, and plates to go are also available. You can even purchase sausage for $5 per pound. There will be plenty of games and activities for the kids plus Bingo and a live auction.

Participate in the 4th annual Murder at Fort Concho Saturday, October 19th from 7:00 - 10:30 pm. Modeled after the board game Clue, Murder at Fort Concho gives participants the opportunity to play detective for a night. For more information about the event call 657-4444.

Murphy Performance Hall presents 'Houston Ballet II' on Sat, Oct 19th at 7:30 pm. Comprised of a stellar array of young dancers from around the world, Houston Ballet II tours both nationally and internationally. Don't miss your opportunity to see them in San Angelo. If you're up for the challange, register for the 'Hell Hole Gravel Grind' bicycle race October 19th starting at 8 am. Race or just ride West Texas country roads and trails. Select your distance of 50k, 75k, and 100k. Awards will be given for the top 3 finishers, male and female, in each race distance. The Hell Hole Gravel Grind will begin at Arden Rd and County Road 411 in Irion County just 17 miles West of San Angelo.  For Registration information, click on webscorer.com/register.

San Angelo's Performing Art Center presents Young Frankenstein Fri & Sat, Oct 18th & 19th at 7:30 pm both nights. For ticket information, call 284-3825.

Enjoy an afternoon of art making at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts every Thursday from 3-6 pm in the Education Studio. They always feature fun with clay and watercolors, and every three weeks there are two new art projects to try. Admission is free and visitors are welcome to drop in anytime between 3 and 6.

The Concho Valley Farmers Market’s thrice-weekly produce sales begin at 7 am each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday under the pavilion at 609 S. Oakes St. across from Fort Concho. The vendors, who come from a 75-mile radius around San Angelo, sell locally grown seasonal fruits, vegetables and plants. For more information, call 245-3338.
