Enjoy the 2019 Brews, Ewes & BBQ Cook-Off Sat, Oct 19th from 10 am - 6 pm at El Paseo De Santa Angela. The festival will consist of a BBQ cook-off featuring brisket, pork ribs, chicken, leg of lamb, beans and a home brew beer competition. There will also be live music from various artists and vendor booths. New this year is also a Kids BBQ cook-off for ages 6-15. Cactus Market Days takes place every 3rd Saturday of the month Downtown San Angelo in the parking lot across from the Cactus Hotel. You're invited to take the Fort Concho After Dark Tour for a spine-tingling night tour of Fort Concho on Fri, Oct 25th from 8 - 10 pm. Visit several of the fort’s buildings and listen to their guides recount the stories of people who lived and died at the site. Tickets for the walking tour are available but space is limited. Buffalo Gap is having their Scarecrow Festival with Scarecrows inspired by children's illustrated storybook characters and created by local students on display at the grounds of the Taylor County History Center through October 26th!

Join St. Ambrose 80th Fall Festival in Wall on Sun, Oct 20th from 10:30 am - 6:00 pm. Enjoy Turkey, dressing, and sausage plates sold from 11:00-2:00. If you're up for the challange, register for the 'Hell Hole Gravel Grind' bicycle race October 19th starting at 8 am. Race or just ride West Texas country roads and trails. Select your distance of 50k, 75k, and 100k. Awards will be given for the top 3 finishers, male and female, in each race distance. The Hell Hole Gravel Grind will begin at Arden Rd and County Road 411 in Irion County just 17 miles West of San Angelo.  For Registration information, click on webscorer.com/register.

Enjoy an afternoon of art making at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts every Thursday from 3-6 pm in the Education Studio. They always feature fun with clay and watercolors, and every three weeks there are two new art projects to try. Admission is free and visitors are welcome to drop in anytime between 3 and 6.

The Concho Valley Farmers Market’s thrice-weekly produce sales begin at 7 am each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday under the pavilion at 609 S. Oakes St. across from Fort Concho.
