It's another great week of activities and events in San Angelo for you to enjoy. The JPW Learning Center is hosting their annual 'Cookbook Gala' This Tuesday evening at Bentwood Country Club. Top local chefs will be preparing a four course meal prepared from various celebrated cookbooks. The writers of those books will be on hand to discuss their recipes and sign their books for you which will be on sale during the event. This Friday, September 18th you can learn about herb gardening and butterfly plants at this month's Lunch & Learn Gardening Seminar. You are also invited to ask questions about your landscape challenges. Cost is $5.00 per person. Call the Extension office at 659-6528 to make your reservations.

Get ready to enjoy another Downtown Movie Night this Friday evening, Sept. 18th featuring the classic 'Sleeping Beauty' in the parking lot across from the Cactus Hotel at 9 pm. Concessions will be available and you are invited to bring your lawn chairs for another free, fun downtown movie night.

The Texas Tech Alumni Association Concho Valley Chapter is having a Game Watching Party starting at 6 pm for the big game this Saturday - TTU at Arkansas. The party will be held in the Garage room at Logan's Roadhouse, 4384 Sherwood Way.Red Raider alumni, friends and family are welcome to attend. You do not have to be a member of the TTAA Concho Valley Chapter or the Texas Tech Alumni Association.

San Angelo's Christians in Action Bowl-A-Thon is this Saturday, Sept. 19th at Stadium Lanes from 2-5 pm. Enjoy entertainment and lots of prizes. To register, go to christiansinaction.us.

Everyone is invited to the St. Therese Fall Festival at the Knights of Columbus Hall on North Bryant this Sunday, Sept. 20th beginning at 11 am.
