The American Cancer Society's 3rd annual Kickin Cancer Kickball Tournament is this Saturday, August 27th. There's a family division and an adult competitive division. The San Angelo Symphony presents Music in Literature this Saturday, August 27th from 2 – 3 pm. The San Angelo Symphony's Music In Literature Program for grades K-5 provides a wonderful opportunity to expose elementary-age children to the power of music in literature. Logan's Day is this Sunday, August 28th from Noon until 8 pm at Blaine's Pub. All proceeds benefit Logan Sykes, a five year old who's already had 54 surgeries and continues to deal with major health issues. Admission is $10 per person and that includes delicious food to enjoy there or plates to go will also be available, plus enjoy live music, silent & live auctions and more. The Concho Valley Farmers Market is a great place to buy locally grown and seasonal fruits, vegetables, and plants every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday starting at 7 am. You'll find the Farmers Market under the pavilion at 609 S. Oakes St. across from Ft. Concho.
