The Texas Clown Convention is being held this Wed. - Sat., Sept. 21st - Sept. 24th and the public is invited to participate. This Wed. the 21st “Walk With the Doc” (and the clowns). Meet at the gazebo across from The McNease Convention Center, 500 Rio Concho Drive at 5:30 pm. Dr. Blanc from SACMC will share just how and why laughter is good for your heart! Thurs. “Bring the family to enjoy another 'Downtown Movie Night' this Friday, Sept. 23rd starting at 9:00 PM in the parking lot between the Cactus Hotel and Miss Hattie's Cafe. The featured movie this week is  'LaBamba' and admission is free. Bring your own chairs. Hotdogs, popcorn and soft drinks will be available.

The Central High School band is hosting their 'Rockin' River Run' this Saturday, Sept. 24th along the Concho River. It's a timed 10K, 5K, and mile run. The first 100 registered runners get a free t-shirt. Registration is underway at getmeregistered.com, search under San Angelo.

Reality TV Stars from Counting Cars, Classic Cars, Chili, & Mark McKinney will all be at Ruckus at the Rec Camp this Saturday, the 24th. The San Angelo Lily Fest  is being held this Saturday, the 24th from 9 am - 2 pm at Civic League Park. You will see more waterlilies on display in San Angelo than at any other Botanical Garden anywhere in the United States. There will be tours, seminars, & a plant sale along with entertainment. The Immaculate Conception Church's Fall Festival is this Sunday, Sept. 25th in Knickerbocker. Brisket & Sausage plates will be served from 11-2. There is a live auction, washer pitching, raffle, bingo, country store, and music from the Old Hat Band. Lunch is $10 per plate, $8.00 for 12 and under.

This Sunday, the 25th you are invited to enjoy the Play it Again concert at the Art Museum beginning at 2 pm. The Play It Again concert features the West Texas Jazz Orchestra made up of area high school and junior high band directors, Angelo State University music professors and other musicians. Music featured during the performance will be popular big band and jazz music. The concert is open to all ages and you are invited to dance or just listen and enjoy the music. Check out the Silver Spur Gun & Blade Show being held in the San Angelo Coliseum this Saturday and Sunday. This is a great opportunity to buy, sell, and trade. Hours are 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM and admission is just $5.
