This week in the Concho Valley you have quite a number of options when it comes to things to do. There is a big benefit at Blaine's Pub, A special event at the Museum, a Walk, a big event at Fort Concho, a youth fair, and a lot more.....

The April Wilson Benefit is this Sunday, May 1st from noon til 9 at Blaine's Pub. There will be live bands, live & silent auctions, and raffle tickets for guns, coolers, grills, and knives. Lunch plates are $10 per plate and to go plates will be available. To donate items or purchase tickets, call Rich at 669-8785. All proceeds benefit April's medical fund.

The People Plant Connection's Talk & Tour Series features the Desert Gardens at Cactus Town this Saturday, April 30th. Refreshments are available and you need to RSVP to 656-3104. Cost is $25 for the tour.

Enjoy Uncorked & Untapped this Thursday, April 28th from 6:30 - 9:30 pm at The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, One love St. Local chefs will pair their culinary creations with fine wine and craft beer. Join in on the Walk MS this Saturday, April 30th at Kirby Park. Registration is at 9 am and the Walk begins at 10. Enjoy a fun Walk, Breakfast snacks & drinks, team contests and more. Get your team together now by registering at walkms.org.

The Junior League presents their 3rd Annual 'Touch a Truck' this Saturday, April 30th from 9 - 2 at San  Angelo Stadium. This free event features fire trucks, cranes, semi-trucks, police cars, military vehicles, a helicopter and more that kids & adults can touch, climb on, and ask questions about. You are invited to enjoy all of the activities of Fort Concho Frontier Day this Saturday, April 30th from 7 am til noon. Come celebrate the region's agricultural and ranching heritage with special displays, exhibits, living history, Lions Club Pancake Breakfast, 1800's Baseball, plus booths for vendors and children's activities. All main fort buildings will be open. There is no charge for this half-day event beyond the fee for the pancake breakfast which is $5. For more information, call 325-481-2646.

It's time once again to help our San Angelo Firefighters to 'Fill The Boot'! Firefighters will be at 4 intersections this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (4/27 - 4/29) from 7:30 - 5:30 each day. Help kids and families who deal with Muscular Dystrophy when you donate to help our Firefighters 'Fill The Boot' for MDA!

If you are between the ages of 14 & 24, you're invited to the Youth Fair this Saturday, April 30th from 1 - 3 pm at the South-Side Boys & girls Club. Get ready to find that summer job, learn how to fill out a job application, explore college and training options plus a lot more. There's free food, door prizes and more. Habitat for Humanity's 'Tool Box Bash' is this Saturday, April 30th from 6-10 pm at Ft. Concho Stables. Enjoy lots of fun/crazy games with great prizes, live and silent auctions, delicious food and more!
