The San Angelo Blues Society is holding its 10th Annual Simply Texas Blues Festival this Saturday, May 19th on Oakes Street in downtown San Angelo. This event is free and includes an IBC sanctioned blues competition for 12 bands, together with a rib cook-off, craft and food vendors plus a car show. For more information, call 263-5272.
The Concho Valley Farmers Market is open for business every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday offering fresh Fruits, vegetables and plants from 7 a.m. until they sell out (usually by noon). The sellers come from a 75-mile radius around San Angelo and you can find them at the Farmers Market Pavilion, 609 S. Oakes St. For more information, call 245-3338.
San Angelo's award winning Twin Mountain Tonesmen chorus celebrates their 36th year this Saturday, May 19th at 7:30 in the Murphy Performance Hall. The title of this year's show is "Summer Vacation" and features songs like "Surfin' USA", "Under The Boardwalk", "Surfer Girl", "Happy Days", and more great summer songs. Shop for some very unique gift items during 'Cactus Market Day' this Saturday, the 19th in downtown San Angelo. This month's event is being held at the corner of South Chadbourne and East Twohig Downtown from 10 am -5 pm.
