Steve Earle is one of those few guys that you can refer to as being perpetually cool. Everybody loves Steve, and he has been making great music for many, many years. He has a new single out that represents his sound so well.

It's called 'The Usual Time' from his latest album 'Terraplane'.

Steve does it all. He is an American rock, country and folk singer-songwriter, record producer, author and actor. Earle began his career as a songwriter in Nashville and released his first EP in 1982.

His breakthrough album was the 1986 album Guitar Town. Since then Earle has released 15 other studio albums and received three Grammy awards. His songs have been recorded by Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Travis Tritt, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris and many others. He has appeared in film and television, and has written a novel, a play, and a book of short stories.

Steve has been touring all over the world for many years and performed on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' earlier this year.

His band, 'The Dukes' has produced a new duo known as 'The Mastersons' whose music we also play on Kickin' Country 103.1.

Steve Earle has always surrounded himself with excellent musicians and backup vocalist.

The man has had some huge singles that were released years ago and are still the songs you turn your radio up to when they come on. Songs like ,Copperhead Road', Guitar Town, Hillbilly highway, and many others.

I hope that you are turning it up for his new one as well when it comes on Kickin' Country 103.1.

Check out the above video to his latest song 'The Usual time' and turn it up!
