It was on this date, May 19th in 2010, the press release announcing the band Cross Canadian Ragweed was “taking a break” hit the music world!
My first Cross Canadian Ragweed album was Highway 377, got it not long before I joined the Army in ‘02. I jammed "Long Way Home" all the way to Iraq and back, also "The President Song" off Live at Billy Bob's became a favorite during that time in my life...
It was on this date (May 19) in 2010, the press release announcing the band Cross Canadian Ragweed was "taking a break" was released. The announcement forever changed the Texas / Red Dirt music scene and left all of us screaming "CARRRRRNNNEEEYYYY MANNNNN!!"
One of my all time favorite Cross Canadian AND Scott Copeland tunes would be Lighthouse Keeper. Some know who wrote it, others thing Cody Canada wrote it.
The Texas/Red Dirt scene is very close knit, often times artist write, record and play songs written together. We have already dove into it a little with Adam Hood and Brian Keane but it's time yet again, for another battle.
