Granger Smith announced on Friday (Aug. 28) that he's releasing a two-part album that honors all the 'Country Things' in his life.

Granger plugged back into the Texas scene by tapping stars Parker McCollum and Koe Wetzel for cameos.

It's the perfect setting for a new beginning.

Over the weekend River's mom commemorated the one year anniversary of the "honor walk' she and his dad had taken.

"It's about finding peace. Finding yourself. Finding God on a road that's rough around the edges, just like us," Smith says.

He and his wife made the decision they felt was best for their kids.

It's all in memory of sweet River.

He admits a part of him would like to just disappear.

"This is just the beginning," the singer vows.

River died on June 6 after an accident at the family's home in Texas.
