If you voted in either the Democratic or Republican primaries, you likely voted on several political issues -- things like immigration, gun control and a border wall with Mexico.

As is expected, when comparing the results from these divisive issues, the opinions of voters are divided nearly in half among party lines.

Republicans have softened their language on LGBTQ+ rights, according to the Texas Tribune, but there's one issue in particular that nearly everyone agrees on, at least to a certain degree.

Texas Democrats "support Texas legislation to legalize possession and use of cannabis and its derivatives and to regulate its use." And the Republican platform is nearly there:

We support a change in the law to make it a civil, and not a criminal, offense for legal adults only to possess one ounce or less of marijuana for personal use...

In essence, neither party thinks anyone should go to prison for recreational weed use.

This is a good sign for pro-cannabis advocates. Why? Because when a Texas Republican and a Texas Democrat co-sponsored a repeal of restrictive knife carrying laws, the law changed.
