The Bushes Celebrate Their 70th Birthday Party
Former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, gathered some of their friends as they celebrated their 70th birthdays over the past weekend.
While he turned 70 back in July and her birthday isn't until Nov. 4, the Bushes threw a joint birthday party on Saturday at their Prairie Chapel ranch in Crawford, Texas.
George Strait played for the private party. Strait led the group in singing “Happy Birthday” to the former president and first lady and performed a set including some of his classic hits, and dubbed the performance “From one George to Another.”
Other notable guests included Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones, Texas billionaire Ross Perot, and former U.S. Secretary of Commerce Donald Evans.
