My pal Eric Raines gave Radio Texas, LIVE! a home in Austin on KOKE FM six years ago. For six years Eric has continued to give me the opportunity and privilege of being on the radio in the "Live Music Capital of the World." Today, Eric, the man who has freely given me and countless others in the Texas scene love and support, and his family need our love and support.

His wonderful wife, Terri, was recently diagnosed Stage 3C high-grade serous ovarian cancer. The cancer was discovered after completing laparoscopic surgery to remove a large cyst, which required removing her left ovary. She then underwent an in-depth surgery to remove the primary cancer, secondary tumors, and additional evidence of the cancer was discovered in other organs. This was an intensive surgery that required her to stay in the hospital for about a week. Terri is now home recovering for the next 4 to 5 weeks, then once she is able to she will begin chemotherapy. Her doctor estimates a duration of 1 year of treatment for her.

This October the Texas Music family is stepping up for Terri. The "Raising for Raines" fundraiser and concert will be held on Sunday, October 18th. Come on out to Schoepf's BBQ in Belton, TX, for a great day of live music from Parker McCollum, Cory Morrow, Roger Creager, Kyle Park, William Clark Green, Sam Riggs and many more.

There will be an online auction with several Texas Music packages, including backyard concerts to bid on. The concert itself will be a socially distanced, sit-down-table show.

Join us, as we all come together (responsibly) to raise money to support Terri, Eric and their sons, a family that has supported the Texas and Red Dirt Music scene for so long. Click here for ticket information.

If you are unable to make it out to the show a GoFundMe has been set up to help The Raines Family, click here to make a donation. And we hope to see everyone in Belton next month for a great day celebrating great firends.
