WD-40 Has Many Uses That You May Not Know About
There is a good chance that you have a can of WD-40 around the house for lubricating things, but you may not know that there are many other uses for this spray. Here are 10 of them.
Remove wax or glue from your carpet.....If you get various spills on your carpets, WD-40 can usually get it out. Spray it on the stained spot, let it dry and then wipe it up with a soft cloth or sponge.
Waterproof your shoes.....Spraying WD-40 on your shoes will waterproof them against the elements of weather.
Keep wasps from building nest....Prevent the building of nest by spraying WD-40 under your roof or other areas where you tend to find nests. Since WD-40 is waterproof, one spray can last up to a year.
Clean your bathroom tiles....WD-40 can remove virtually anything from Bathroom tiles. Use it with a sponge or scrub brush next time you clean your bathroom tiles and watch gunk disappear.
Lawn mower care.....If you let your grass get too long, or if it’s too wet, you can get grass jammed in your lawn mower blades. Spray WD-40 underneath your mower to prevent grass from sticking.
Keep squirrels off bird feeders....No matter how hard you try to squirrel-proof your bird feeders, they still find a way. Spray the top of the feeder with WD-40 to create a slippery surface that makes it difficult for squirrels to balance on.
Remove tea stains.....If you get a tea stain on your counter, WD-40 can fix it. Just spray the counter down and wipe away the stain with a sponge or soft cloth.
Remove ink from stained jeans.....Just spray WD-40 on the ink stain and then wait a few minutes before rinsing the jeans out.
Prevent mildew growth outside.....This works great for patio furniture, pots or garden decor. Spraying them with WD-40 should keep mildew from building up.
Keep cockroaches, spiders and other insects out of your house.... Use it like a normal chemical repellent, spraying your windowsills and door frames. Wipe up excess residue from surfaces.
