15 Years Ago: Waylon Passes
15 years ago today on February 13, 2002, Waylon Arnold Jennings passed away in his sleep in Chandler, Arizona at the age of 64 following diabetic complications.
Waylon was born on June 15, 1937 Littlefield, Texas just outside of Lubbock.
Over the course of his career, he would earn 5 CMA, 2 ACM and 2 Grammy Awards. 12 of Waylon's singles would reach number one on U.S. Country chart.
On May 19, 1979 nearly ten years into his marriage with Jessi Colter, the couple had their only child, a son whom they named Waylon Albright "Shooter" Jennings.
