Today, June 15th, 1937 Waylon Jennings was born in Littlefield, Texas

Jennings did a little of everything when he was coming up in the music business including working as a radio DJ.

He played bass with Buddy Holly and I'm sure you know he was also a member of the country powerhouse group The Highwaymen with Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Johnny Cash.

Jennings was also the narrator and recorded the theme song for the Dukes of Hazzard TV show.

When we lost Waylon, on Feb. 13th, 2002...we lost a great singer, songwriter, and well deserving Country Music Hall of Fame Member!

I knew Waylon was going to be the focus for today's Throwback Thursday. The tough part is which song. I decided on one that Waylon wrote, and like so many of his songs, has been covered by many, many artist over the years.

Take a moment to check out the above music video to Waylon Jennings huge hit song 'Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way'.
